This course emphasizes basic nutrition information, especially as it contributes to informed decision-making by the consumer. Students are introduced to the major nutrients, Canadian nutrition standards and guidelines, and the role nutrition plays in optimal health, physical activity and disease prevention. Restrictions: Students may not hold credit for this course and KIN-2501.
