A focus on planning for individual children's developmental needs and guiding unusual and challenging behaviour. Rooted in developmental observation and documentation, students will create and evaluate individual plans (IPs) and behaviour support plans. Critical evaluation of a variety of assessment methods and behaviour management approaches will inform early childhood educators of the range of current practice with children with exceptionalities, and address whether these support or impede inclusion.
