The course focuses on the indigenous experience of nature and attempts to understand its relevance for the modern world. The course structure includes interactive exercises based on a series of virtual exhibits which incorporate techniques especially developed to stimulate visual creativity and visual thought. This course treats the fundamental concepts of perception and representation, considered in cross cultural perspective, especially as applied to the understanding of the natural world.
