SOC-1101 Introduction to Sociology

This course provides an introduction to the study of society and to the discipline of sociology. Topics to be covered include methods, culture, socialization, groups, social processes, the community, social stratification, the major institutions -- the family, the economic, the political, the religious, and the educational -- and social change in its contemporary setting. Restrictions: Students may not hold credit for this course and SOC-1105.
