Students will be provided with the basic theory and practical considerations regarding Civil Litigation. They will prepare documents required to commence and serve a Small Claims, commence an Action, and make a motion for Default Judgment. Students will learn the fundamentals of the Appeal system, including decisions made with The Court of Queen’s Bench and The Court of Appeal of Manitoba. Jurisdictions and decisions of The Federal Court of Canada and The Supreme Court of Canada will also be covered.
